Socorro Fest, sponsored by the City of Socorro and a host of volunteers, is an opportunity for families and friends to get together and spend the day feasting, dancing, visiting or just plain having fun.
The day is filled with activities for the whole family. Kids and adults will have fun at the climbing wall, going on a Treasure Hunt or entering in the popular Sand Building Contest.
We’ve got music, starting at noon and running through 10 p.m. We have a terrific lineup of entertainment on two outdoor stages, and a third stage if you count the stage at the nearby Historic Capitol Bar.
If you’re here early, The Socorro Farmers Market will be open from 8:00 – 11:00 am. Socorro wants the entire state to know who we are and what we are and what better way to show off our best, from locally grown fruits and vegetables, to pottery and ceramics, stained glass, quilts, books, jewelry and so much more.
There will be two separate “Spirits Tents” for the adults to sample and enjoy wine and brew from several NM wineries and breweries, including a local favorite: Socorro Springs Brewing Company.
We’ve also got lots of Food. Tour the Plaza for culinary treats, from Mexican food favorites, bratwurst and barbecue, to snacks, sweets and sodas.
Stop at the INFORMATION BOOTH for an event schedule or to buy your souvenir Socorro Fest beer glass, wine glass or t-shirt.
